Many people have thought that Metal Gear would end up with Metal Gear Solid V and Hideo Kojima's departure from Konami, but that proved to be unsuccessful when Metal Gear Survive was announced last year. With the February release, Konami released a video game for the single player Metal Gear Survive, releasing details of the upcoming beta release. This release, we will get new gameplay for Metal Gear Survive. This is not anything too different, but what's good here is that the producer commented that adding some insight into the game itself is more than just your usual trailer. On top of that, Konami has also announced a beta for Metal Gear Survive and given some details about said beta. The Metal Gear Survive beta will be held from January 18th through January 21st, with you able to jump into the co-op mode to help build, defend, and fight with our friends online.
While Metal Gear Survive is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 20, 2018, this beta is exclusive to consoles for the time being. From the wording in the press release, it sounds like this beta will be open on those platforms, but we are not positive at this time. Those on PS4 and Xbox One that plan on getting the game when it releases definitely should at least fire up the beta at some point if this is the case, because you can get free content. Those who participate will get a Fox Hound name plate, accessory Metal Gear Rex head, and Accessory bandana.
